In light of the recent passing of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, it is a good time to revisit his 1984 speech to the National Democratic Convention. The thought of the day was that it would propel him to run for national office. It was not to be as it did did nothing to get a democratic into the White House that year. Ronald Reagan was unstoppable.
Whatever your politics, it was still a great speech delivered over 30 years ago. Most would say the issues he raised are equally relevant today.
